Fort Knox offers a comprehensive range of on-post amenities that serve active duty, retirees, DoD civilians, and their families. Whether you live on-post at Knox Hills or off-post in Elizabethtown, these facilities are available to you and can significantly reduce your cost of living.

Commissary

The Fort Knox Commissary offers tax-free groceries at cost plus a small surcharge, typically saving military families 25-30% compared to off-post grocery stores. The commissary stocks a full range of products including produce, meat, dairy, frozen foods, and household items. Weekly sales and coupon acceptance add to the savings.
